Our Webdesigner: DW Internet

a new site for a new season

As we are nearing completion of the redevolpment of Hills Farm and Cranberries Luxury Hideaways is becoming more popular, we needed to update our online image. We engaged the local web design company, DW Internet to help us with this task. This new site will enable us to communicate with our past and potential guests in a manor more suited to our business, whilst maintaining the ethos of our brand.

FacebookWe've also joined the social media revolution and created our facebook page where updates on themed weekends will be posted, as well as our rambling on about the local area and events, and we'll soon be adding twitter to our online presence, so be sure to follow us....& during the coming weeks we'll be adding even more content to the site.

In addition to engaging DW Internet, we also commisioned The Smart Photographer to capture the feeling of the barns, the result can be viewed within the individual pages for each of the barns.  You can also view the photos we have taken of the local area with our comprehensive photo gallery.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on our new site, please leave a comment on our Facebook page or send us an email to tell us what you think...

pink floyd goes green for eco-holidays!

Pink Floyd front man and guitar legend Dave Gilmour, is among celebrities giving their backing to the launch of a luxury range of eco holiday properties in Devon.

Dave Gilmour a keen ‘green’, who stables his horses at Cranberries equestrian centre, said: “Anything that encourages people to change their habits and reduce their carbon foot print is a cause to which I am personally committed.  I stable my horses at Cranberries because I believe in the ethos of the place and what’s been done here.  It allows people to take holidays in a way that doesn’t add to the world’s ecological burden, and reminds us that we can all do our bit to make a difference.”

Chef and neighbour Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has lent his backing to our project, while polar explorer and ecologist Pen Haddow, who also keeps a horse at our equestrian centre, is keen to endorse the venture

Haddow, who in 2003 was the first person to trek solo from Canada to the North Geographic Pole, said:  “From the pristine and vulnerable environments of both the North and South Pole, I have witnessed first-hand the signs of the changes that lie ahead for us all, resulting from global warming.  But developments like Cranberries mean we don’t have to equate leisure and fun with guilt.  I would love to see others take up this approach to sustainable holidays with the same passion as Steve and his family.”
